A Mount Vernon Holiday Tradition Not to Be Missed!
Mount Vernon students, faculty, and parent volunteer elves are in a flurry of holiday excitement in preparation for the Lower School and Upper Campus Christmas Arts Showcases next week, and students and faculty can’t wait to welcome parents, grandparents, and friends to campus and share this joyful, creative experience with them.
Upper Campus Christmas Arts Showcase
On Tuesday, December 14th, the Upper Campus will be transformed by lights and decorations into a holiday wonderland, and guests will take part in a 90-minute immersive arts experience. In its 10th year, the Upper Campus Christmas Arts showcase will feature the creative artistry of over 500 students, with live performances by over 170 students.
Visitors will be guided through the Middle School and Upper School buildings with short performances, visual art installations, showcases of learning, virtual reality, hot cocoa and more. Mount Vernon’s creativity will be on full display as our instrumental and vocal ensembles, dance teams, theatre troupes, VR club, and iDiploma programs join forces to create a truly unforgettable experience. You won’t want to miss debut performances from the dance team, the first-ever boutique window shopping installation from the iDiploma program, or a virtual ride on Santa’s sleigh.
