
Mount Vernon Studios and the MV All Stars and Jr. All Stars present The SpongeBob Musical, coming to the Upper Campus Main Stage on Monday, May 2nd through Saturday, May 7th. In the show, SpongeBob and all of his Bikini Bottom friends face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!
The musical is based on the beloved Nickelodeon series, with original songs by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny, and Andy Paley.

SpongeBob the Musical is a grand musical production and will showcase a full cast of twenty other citizens of Bikini Bottom played by Olivia Boissymaty, Audrey Brown, Caleb Campbell, Charlotte Chaffin, Avery Cole, Madison Dunn, Natalie Fiaccio, Milan Frye, Alyssa Gershon-Palma, Oliver Membrillo, Warren Neel, Sierra Peterson, Sonoma Peterson, Kat Petty, Abby Stanford, Kadin Tomlinson, Lilly Tuck, Vivienne Veach, Emma Laura Woodall, and Holly Vogt.
The Mount Vernon Studios production team comprises Clark Taylor, the Artistic Director, Amanda Lower, the Assistant Director/Movement Coach, Spencer Stephens, the Assistant Music Director/Technical Director, Jasmine Roberts, the Choreographer, Vann Thornton, the Conductor/Audio Designer, Stephanie Bogle, the Costume & Puppet Designer, and Susan Edwards and Jess Ford, the Scenic Artists. They are supported a production crew of twenty-three Upper and Middle School students, including stage managers Rose Dodder and Shea Griffith and Assistant Stage Manager Caroline Putnam, as well as Rachel Adams, Malaina Allen, Zoe Embleton, Michael Fennelly, Siena Ferrara, Cameron Flotta, Asiah Franklin, Rex Garlinghouse, Grace Gilmour, Lauren Hoath, Ryanne Kelly, Stella Love, Jewel Mayfield, Reign Mijatovic, Claire Schwartz, and Katie Day Schwartz, who will be in charge of essential technical theatre production roles.
