Tech Tuesdays in the Black Box

Tech Tuesday is a weekly after school program lead by Mr. Stephens and Mr. Taylor, along with resident teaching artist, Jess Ford, that is available to all students in grades 6-12 who would like to help with theatre sets, costumes, props, lighting, sound, and behind the scenes activities. Tech Tuesday will give students the opportunity to learn all aspects of technical theatre and production, and students will be introduced and taught to use the tools and equipment necessary for all stage and backstage applications.

Every student is encouraged to participate in Tech Tuesday regardless of whether they are part of the cast and crew of the productions being staged at the school. We would love to have additional students join us in bringing MV Studios’ productions to life! The Middle School sessions are 3:15-5:00 p.m. and the Upper School sessions are from 3:30-5:45 p.m. each Tuesday. Students interested in participating each week should check in with Mr. Stephens on Mondays. Also, they should come to Tech Tuesday wearing closed-toed shoes and clothing that can get dirty/paint stained/torn and with long hair pulled back. Please contact Mr. Stephens for more information.
